Getting started as an Admin

Ebiblo does not write questions by itself. It shows what an agent sends it. An agent lives in Emidox: it reads your material and writes questions from it. Ebiblo and Emidox share one login, so there's no second account.

1. Sign in, or create your account. Press Get started. Sign in with email and password, Apple or Google — or press Create an account and enter your name, email, a password, and your role: tutor, teacher, trainer, parent, or student.
2. Explore the sample. A sample agent matched to what you said you do is set up for you on the spot, so your home screen is never empty. You get a sample quiz page with one set waiting for approval and one already published, plus the page its material sits on. Open it, read the questions, publish it, switch to Learner and answer it. Nothing you do to the sample reaches anyone else. When you're finished with it, delete its agent in Emidox and the sample page goes with it.
3. Add your AI key. Drafting and marking use a model you pay for directly. Paste your API key into Emidox once and you're done.
4. Create your own agent in Emidox. When you want to check your own material, open Emidox and make an agent. Name it for the subject or the course. Every agent has two links. The input link opens the page where you upload material and write one line about what to ask. The quiz link opens the page where finished questions appear. Both open in Ebiblo. Upload what you already teach. The agent is set to work whenever the material changes, which is usually what you want.
5. Approve the first draft. The agent sends its questions to your quiz page and Ebiblo tells you when they arrive — in the app, or as a push notification if you have it on your phone. The quiz link stays in Emidox, so you can always click through from there. Read every question, then publish.

The screens below are drawn to match the app; screenshots replace them.

Two roles, one account

One account holds both roles. The switch in the header changes what the same screens show. It is a way of looking, not a second login, and each device remembers your choice.

You become an Admin by creating a quiz page or input page in Emidox. Open a quiz someone shared with you and you are a Learner on it. Their page stays theirs. So one account can own a page and answer on someone else's. Open any quiz in Learner view to see who owns it.

The home screen

Both roles share one layout with different data:

• Continue — the one thing to pick up next. A set waiting for your review, or a quiz you started.
• Status — two numbers. As an admin: what is waiting for approval, and your drafts. As a learner: what you finished this week, and what is new.
• Library — two tabs, Quizzes and Inputs, with search and filters. Quiz pages and questions arrive from your Emidox agents — including the sample agent every account starts with; the home screen is for reviewing, not creating.

Quiz pages

A quiz page holds question sets, and it is where learners go to answer them. The list of sets is on the left, with tabs and a search box. Whatever you pick opens on the right.

Access

• Public — anyone with the link can answer, once they sign in. Good for a class or a team.
• Private — one named learner, and only them. Add them by name, email or username, then share the page from your phone. Make them as you go, one per subject if you like — a learner can be on up to ten. One page per student is the point: it is what lets the next set follow that learner.

Settings

Press the gear in the rail header to open Settings:

• Access — public or private.
• Require approval — on, every new set waits for you to publish it. Off, sets go out as soon as they are ready, and everyone is told.
• Adaptive follow-up — shown only for private pages, which have one learner to adapt to (see Adaptive follow-up).

Question sets and their states

A set is a group of questions on one topic, written by your agent from the material you gave it. Every set is in one of three states:

• Awaiting approval — just written. Learners cannot see it.
• Draft — you have edited it but not published it. If the set was already live, learners keep seeing the live version until you publish your changes.
• Published — visible to learners on that page.

Approving and publishing

This is the step that makes Ebiblo safe to send. Nothing reaches a learner unless a person says so.

1. Open the quiz page. Use the Awaiting approval tab to see what needs you.
2. Open a set. Every question is listed, with its options, and with the answer you expect for written ones.
3. Read each question. Change the wording, the options or the expected answer. Delete a question you don't want. Editing a set that was approved turns it back into a draft until you publish it again.
4. Press Publish. The set goes live on that page.

Doing several at once

Press Select in the list to show tick boxes. Tick the sets you want, or Select all, then Publish or Delete. Deleting asks you to confirm and removes the sets, their questions and any attempts — it can't be undone.

What the agent can produce

A set can mix single choice, multiple choice, true/false, short written and long written answers, and questions built around a visual. What you get depends on what you ask for and what you uploaded — count, level, types and the language you write the prompt in.

You can upload almost anything: PDFs, documents, slides, plain text and pictures, including a photo of a worksheet.

Input pages and triggers

An input page holds the material your agent works from. Open it from the Inputs tab on the home screen.

• Sources — the files you add: worksheets, unit outlines, slides, documents. They belong to this page.
• Prompt — a line or two about what to ask. Type it, or press Speak and say it.
• Connected agent — which agent works on this page, and where it sends what it writes.
• Trigger — when the agent works:
  • On update — the usual choice. Change a file and new questions are written. Good for a class, a student, or a document that keeps changing.
  • Daily — once a day, at a time you set. Queue holds your request for the next daily run instead of sending it now.
  • Manually — nothing happens until you press Send. Useful for trying things out.
  • Off — the agent is switched off and you cannot send it anything.

Press Send (or Queue) to ask for questions now. They arrive on the quiz page marked Awaiting approval.

Taking a quiz

1. Open a quiz page from your library, or from a link someone sent you. A shared link asks you to sign in first, so every answer has a name on it. The owner is told when you start.
2. Pick a published set and press Start. In progress? It says Resume.
3. Answer each question. Choice questions are a tap; written ones have a text box. Your progress is saved as you go, so you can stop on one device and carry on from another.
4. Finish, and your results appear. Retake is on the navigator if you want another go — every attempt is kept, so you and the page's owner can both see how each one went.

It works on a small phone screen, with the main button at the bottom where your thumb is.

Marking and results

• Choice questions are marked straight away. The reason was written with the question, so it is part of what you approved, not something made up afterwards.
• Written answers are marked against the answer you expect, which you can edit while approving. So you set the standard the marking follows. They are scored out of 10, and the reason is shown.
• The results bar shows the overall percentage, and the score out of 10 for any written answer.

Every set has a progress view that the admin and the learner both see, so there is one picture of what has been answered and how it was marked. You are told as each learner finishes.

Adaptive follow-up

On a private page, turn on adaptive follow-up in Settings. The results go back to the Emidox agent behind that page. When that learner finishes, the agent reads what they got right and wrong and builds the next set around their strengths and gaps. A private page is shared with one student and no one else, so there is a single person to adapt to — which is why a public page, answered by a whole class, cannot use it.

Sharing links

• A quiz page link — press the share icon at the top of the list to copy the page's address, or send it straight from your phone. Whoever opens it signs in once, so every answer has a name on it.
• A private page opens for its one named learner and nobody else, so the link is no use if it goes astray.

Notifications

Notifications are what stop anyone having to check the app. Turn them on in the profile panel. They arrive in your inbox in Ebiblo, with an unread badge, and as push notifications on a phone or tablet with the app installed — so install the app on the device you carry. There are no email notifications.

As an admin you're told when:

• a new set is ready and waiting for your approval
• a set went out on its own, because approval is switched off
• a learner opens one of your pages for the first time
• a learner finishes a set, with their result

As a learner you're told when:

• a new set is published on a page you're on
• you left a set unfinished

There is no notification about marking. Your results are on screen the moment you finish, so there is nothing to wait for.

What language the questions come out in

The interface is English. Menus, buttons and settings read the same for everyone, and there is no language to choose.

A set's language comes from your prompt. Write to the agent in Arabic and you get Arabic questions; ask in English for questions in Persian and you get Persian. There is no language setting to find — what you ask for is what the agent writes, and the set carries that language from then on.

A set written in a right-to-left language — Arabic, Persian, Hebrew, Urdu — is displayed right-to-left, with its own dates and numerals, inside the English interface. Two sets on the same page can run in different directions. Diagrams inside questions never mirror; only their labels translate. Anything you or the agent wrote is direction-isolated, so a question written in one direction reads correctly inside an interface running the other way.

Devices and settings

Ebiblo works the same on the web and in the iOS and Android apps, on a phone, a tablet or a desktop. Progress is saved as you go, so a learner can start on one device and finish on another.

Press your avatar for the profile panel, which holds the two settings there are:

• Appearance — light or dark.
• Notifications — on or off for this device.

Your own AI key

Ebiblo and Emidox do not resell AI. The agent runs on your model key, so you pay OpenAI or Anthropic directly for what it uses, at their published rates. Nothing is marked up, and you can see every cent in their own dashboard.

1. Make a key. Sign in to OpenAI or Anthropic, add a payment method, and create an API key. It takes a couple of minutes.
2. Paste it into Emidox. Settings, then the model provider. The key runs your agents and nothing else.
3. Watch the first month. Drafting a set of questions from a worksheet costs cents, not dollars. One class checking in weekly usually lands in the low single digits per month.
